Muzeul Taranului Roman
In anul 1912, sub semnatura regelui Carol I, s-a pus piatra de temelie a constructiei ce avea sa adaposteasca Muzeul de Arta si Traditii Populare. Opera a arhitectului Ghica Budesti, cladirea devine in anul 1990 Muzeul Taranului Roman.
In urma unei expertize, s-a relevat necesitatea unor lucrari de consolidare.
In 1912, under the signature of King Carol I was laid the foundation stone for the building that was meant to accommodate the National Art Museum.
Designed by the architect Ghica Budesti, the building became the Romanian Peasant Museum in 1990. An expertise revealed the need for consolidation.
Therefore, carbon-fiber drilled pilots and reinforced-concrete tubes were inserted and plasters on reinforced nets were laid on the walls. The restoration work was very important in the entire project – the roof framing was revised and the glazed ceramic roof was partially replaced. The facade was restored, while integrating the stone elements, as well as the afferent masonry.
The doubling of the metallic carpentry with laminated oak windows, the restoration of the interior decorations in the areas affected by the consolidation and the complete replacement of all installations highlight the complexity of the project.
The project received the ARACO Quality Trophy.
